Robert Christian Rutledge, Esquire
The grandson of the late Rev. W. Robert Rutledge, a former pastor at Garden Lakes Baptist Church, and the late Helen Elizabeth "Ro Ro" Rutledge, a para-professional at Garden Lakes Elementary, Robert has spent the last thirteen years as part of the community in Rome and Northwest Georgia. He has served thousands of people from Floyd County who needed an advocate to protect their constitutional rights and defend them against criminal charges.
Robert grew up in Marietta, Georgia, and graduated from Wheeler High School in 1990, thanks to the great support of his parents, Buddy and the late Kay Ellen Rutledge. After attending college at Georgia State University, Robert taught Latin, Theory of Knowledge, Humanities, Creative Writing, and other courses in the Forsyth County School System. Robert was then accepted into the School of Law at the University of Georgia. He completed his law degree in 2005 and a master's degree in 2006 while starting to practice law. He then began his service at the Rome Circuit Public Defender's Office. After eleven years, Robert brought his legal skills to serve the larger community of Rome and Northwest Georgia.
